Install TransStock

Start today with a clean install of TransStockThis page will walk you through all the steps: preparation, download, installation, first-time startup, and activation. I'm keeping it simple and practical. If you're already running an older version or moving to another computer, you'll find links to transfer and quickstart at the bottom.

1. Preparation

• Check the system requirements. How to prevent slow startup or error messages. See: System requirements for TransStock.
• Log into your account. If you have forgotten your password, use Forgot passwordNo registration is required: you'll already have an account after placing your order.
• Please have your license information ready. Username and Serial Number are in your account and/or confirmation email.
• Close other programs. Antivirus and backup software shouldn't block the installation. Temporarily pausing the program gives the installer full access.

2. Download

Go to your account and download the latest TransStock setup. Save the file to a trusted folder (for example, Downloads of Desktop). Please ensure the download is complete before proceeding.

3. Install TransStock (Windows)

1. Right click on the setup file and choose Run as administratorThis will give the installer the correct permissions and allow you to install TransStock.
2. Follow the prompts in the wizard. Choose the default location unless you're using a fixed software folder.
3. Let the installer do any auxiliary components places (e.g. runtimes) when prompted.
4. Round off with CompleteA desktop shortcut makes starting up easy.

4. Install TransStock (Mac)

First install the (free) interface VirtualBox of Parallel DesktopInstall Windows within this application (virtual space). After installation, boot Windows and, if it's working properly, you can install TransStock following the instructions above.

5. First start-up and activation

1. Start TransStock via the shortcut or Programs.
2. enter your user name en Serial Number You can find this information in your account or in the email after purchase.
3. follow the steps on the screen to complete the basic configuration: language, default folders and the initial price history en market database.
4. Wait for the initial data sync to complete. This way, you'll start with a complete and consistent dataset.

6. Check: Is everything working correctly?

• Open a sample list and load a graph. Scroll and zoom to test the response.
• Check the update date of your data. If it's up to date, you're ready for the quick start.

7. Common Messages & Quick Fixes

• “No rights to write”: restart the installer as administrator (Windows) or give TransStock permission Privacy & Security (Sword).
• “Serial number invalid”: Check spaces/characters and your username. Copy the information directly from your account (copy icon) to avoid typos.
• “No data” of Database in use: Close TransStock completely, restart the PC and then perform the initial data step again.
• Antivirus blocks: set a exception Open the TransStock folder and installer. Then restart it.

8. What after installation?

With TransStock on your system, it is best to start with a short practice round. In the TransStock Quickstart I'll spend the first 10 minutes setting up: preferences, a basic layout, and a quick check of data and graphs. If you're moving to a different PC or reinstalling from an older version, follow the transfer/migration path.
